Advisory Message has been issued by the St. Anthony Police Department.

Monday April 4, 2011 9:18 AM CDT

Information for all in SA, LDL and FH.

Since March 28th, there have been two suspicious incidents which are consistent with the attempted luring of juvenile females. These incidents have occurred in Minnetonka and Brooklyn Center. The male suspect asks the young girls if they want candy, and throws candy in their direction. The suspect and vehicle description is consistent in both incidents:

Suspect: Older white male, gray hair, unshaven and has a pointy nose
Vehicle: Larger white cargo/passenger van. No logos or identifiers on the sides.

With the warmer weather, more children are outside playing. Please discuss these incidents with your children, and reinforce with them the importance of reporting back to you, anytime a stranger offers to give them something, attempts to lure them closer to their vehicle or asks them to go with them.

As always, dial “911” whenever you observe any suspicious activity in your neighborhood.
