|During the month of March, Minneapolis and St. Paul Fire Fighters will be holding a friendly competition to see which department can gather the most pounds of food for The Salvation Army food shelf.
The contest is part of Minnesota Food Shelf Month, a statewide initiative organized by the Greater Minneapolis Council of Churches to encourage food and monetary donations to approximately 300 food shelves in Minnesota.
Northeast Minneapolis has two Fire Stations where you may drop your donations between 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.:
2701 Johnson St. NE
143 13th Ave. NE
